BBEdit-powered text editing and transformation
- Familiar BBEdit editing gestures and commands, including the ability to reformat poorly formatted incoming messages. Message composition is completely controllable via AppleScript.

Spam-fighting capabilities
- Automatic integrated support for SpamSieve, the popular statistical spam detection software. Use of SpamSieve is automatic; no scripts, plug-ins, or setup required. Spam can be automatically routed to a "(spam)" mailbox, to the trash, or tagged for future processing.
- Built-in "Report to SpamCop" command, makes reporting offending messages to spammers' ISPs easy
- Support for server-side spam filtering, with an option to honor the canonical spam-classification headers used by SpamAssassin, BogoFilter, and other server-side anti-spam tools
Text-only email
- Avoid Web bugs and other security risks inherent in the direct display of HTML messages.
