- From Eudora (4.0 or later) – Mailsmith directly imports Eudora mailboxes and addresses
- From Claris Emailer (2.0v2 or later) – Mailsmith directly imports Emailer mail, addresses, and account settings
- From other mail programs – Mailsmith imports standard “mbox” format text files (which most other email clients can export)
