BBEdit Authenticated Saves
In order to comply with Appleās submission guidelines, the Mac App Store version of BBEdit does not support authenticated saves. BBEdit 10.1.1 introduces a solution for this, in the form of a script attachment point for performing authenticated saves.
Note: The following instructions are only for use with Mac App Store licenses. If you did not buy your BBEdit license from the Mac App Store, please disregard this page.
To enable authenticated saving with your Mac App Store version of BBEdit, begin by updating to BBEdit 10.1.1 or later. Then, download this script:

Application Support/BBEdit/Attachment Scripts/ exists in your Dropbox folder. (If necessary you can create it manually, using the Finder’s “New Folder” command.)/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/BBEdit/Attachment Scripts/ folder exists, creating it if necessary. (Note that on Mac OS X 10.7 your account’s “Library/” folder is hidden by default but you can open it from the Finder by holding down the Option key and choosing Go → Library.)document.documentShouldFinalizeAuthenticatedSave.scpt) into your Application Support/BBEdit/Attachment Scripts/ folder.
