Note: If you purchased BBEdit from the Mac App Store, please use the “App Store” application to download and install updates.

BBEdit 10.5.3

Release Date: 04/04/2013 – BBEdit 10.5.3 is a free and recommended update for all customers with BBEdit 10.0 through 10.5.2. You must have a BBEdit 10 serial number to use this version. Customers with any prior version will need to purchase an upgrade. (Please download the demo first and give it a try!)

Important: BBEdit 10 requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later, and will not run on any earlier version of Mac OS X.

BBEdit 9.6.3

Release Date: 01/24/2011 – The update package contains the BBEdit 9.6.3 application. BBEdit 9.6.3 is a free update for all customers with BBEdit 9.0 through 9.6.2.

Important: BBEdit 9.6.3 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later, and will not run on Mac OS 9 or any previous versions of Mac OS X. This version is a Universal application for both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs.

Note: New licenses for this version are no longer available. You must already have a BBEdit 9 serial number to use this version.

Release Date: 12/19/2007 – The update package contains the BBEdit 8.7.2 application. BBEdit 8.7.2 is a free update for all customers with BBEdit 8.5 thru 8.7.1.
