BBEdit 15 Free Upgrade

All registered customers who purchased BBEdit 14 on or after July 1, 2023, are eligible to receive an upgrade to BBEdit 14 *free of charge.

All eligible customers who purchased BBEdit 14 directly from Bare Bones Software on or after July 1, 2023 (including orders fulfilled by FastSpring) will automatically be sent free upgrades via email to the address used in their order on or before January 31, 2024.

If you are eligible but do not receive a free upgrade notice by January 31, 2024, please first check your “junk” or “spam” mailbox; if you cannot find the notice, please contact our Sales Department for assistance.

Eligible customers who purchased through a reseller or via other means should contact our Sales Department for assistance.

Mac App Store customers

Mac App Store customers with an active subscription for BBEdit will automatically have access to BBEdit 15’s advanced features upon installing the new version. If you have been using BBEdit in Free Mode, your evaluation period will be reset and you will have a fresh 30-day evaluation period to try out BBEdit 15’s advanced features.

If you purchased BBEdit 10 in the Mac App Store, you may upgrade to BBEdit 15 for US$39.99 if you would prefer a perpetual license. You can also subscribe to BBEdit in the Mac App Store.

Other Copies

If you have any license(s) for earlier versions of BBEdit which you did not upgrade to BBEdit 14, you may purchase an upgrade for those copies.
