What's New in Yojimbo 4?
Yojimbo 4 introduces built-in support for syncing data among multiple Macs, as well as support for fullscreen windows and Retina machines.
Yojimbo’s sync service (paid subscription required) provides silent, transparent data synchronization across multiple Macs, making it irrelevant which machine you use to access, add or modify any item stored in Yojimbo.
(Note: Sync service subscriptions are available for purchase directly within the application.)
For complete details about all the changes and enhancements in Yojimbo 4, please see the change notes.
Yojimbo 4 also contains all the features offered by Yojimbo 3 and Yojimbo 2.
Yes! Most of the work that went into Yojimbo 4.0 was to remove support for no-longer-supported MobileMe synchronization, and to reimplement Mac-to-Mac sync.
Yojimbo 4.0’s synchronization does not use iCloud; the reasons why are outlined here. Instead, we’ve partnered with Wasabi World Wide Heavy Industries to provide synchronization services for Yojimbo customers.
Yes; Yojimbo syncing is provided as a subscription service. The first 30 days are free, and the subscription charge is US$2.99 per month thereafter. You may cancel your subscription at any time; if you do, Yojimbo will simply stop synchronizing your data between your Macs — you won’t lose any of your stored information.
Not at this time. Synchronization is provided as a subscription service, and the Mac App Store purchase mechanics unfortunately do not currently support that usage pattern.
You still can! We have a procedure in place for Mac App Store customers to complete the upgrade order process. Begin with the Yojimbo Upgrades Page.
Yojimbo 4 requires an Intel Mac running OS X 10.8.2 or later.
